What are the operating hours?

For the 2026 summer season, the Lake Louise Summer Sightseeing Gondola operates daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., from June 5 through October 11.

Gondola access is continuous during operating hours, so you do not need to choose a specific time for your ride up or down. This gives you flexibility to arrive when convenient and spend as much time as you like exploring the upper mountain.

The final ride down is at approximately 5:10 p.m., giving visitors additional time at the top after the regular uphill operating period ends.

For the most relaxed experience, morning to early afternoon is generally a good time to arrive. You'll have plenty of time for the roughly 15-minute ride up, viewpoints, wildlife watching, photography, hiking, and the return journey.

Operations can occasionally be delayed or suspended because of high winds, thunderstorms, lightning, or other adverse mountain weather, so operating hours can change on individual days.
