Can children ride the chairlift?

Yes. Children can ride the Standish Chairlift, making it possible for families to travel up Standish Mountain together and enjoy the viewing area and surrounding alpine scenery.

Younger children should ride with a responsible adult and must be able to board, remain properly seated, and unload safely. Parents should make sure children understand that they need to sit still during the ride and follow the lift attendant's instructions.

The open-air nature of the chairlift is worth considering. Children are exposed to the height, wind, and cooler mountain temperatures, and a child who is particularly afraid of heights may find the experience intimidating. A warm layer is also useful because conditions can be noticeably colder higher on Standish Mountain.
