Are there restaurants or cafes?

Banff National Park offers four major Gondola sightseeing lift experiences, each providing a unique way to experience the Canadian Rockies.

Sunshine Village Sightseeing Gondola & Standish Chairlift

Are there restaurants or cafes?

Yes. Sunshine Village has restaurants and cafes, so you can have a meal, coffee, or snack while visiting Sunshine Meadows during the summer.

Mad Trapper’s is one of the main casual dining options in the village, with hearty pub-style food and a relaxed mountain atmosphere. Its outdoor beer garden/deck is particularly appealing during summer and is sometimes used for live music and other events.

At Sunshine Mountain Lodge, Chimney Corner provides a more traditional sit-down restaurant experience, including breakfast and dinner service. Java Lift is the convenient cafe option for coffee and lighter items.

Food services are concentrated around the main Sunshine Village area, not along the Sunshine Meadows hiking trails or at the Standish Viewing Deck. If you're heading out for a longer hike, it is still a good idea to carry water and a snack.

Not all of Sunshine's winter restaurants operate during summer, and individual outlets can have different seasonal hours. Book the Banff Sunshine Village Sightseeing Gondola & Standish Chairlift
