Are there age restrictions?

For the Standish Chairlift during the summer sightseeing season, there does not appear to be a general minimum-age restriction simply for riding the chairlift. Sunshine Village sells sightseeing access for children ages 6-12, and children 5 and under are also accommodated within the sightseeing ticket structure. Sunshine’s lift policy also specifically discusses infants in carriers being permitted on lifts for sightseeing passengers, indicating that very young children can be accommodated.

The important consideration is safe riding and adult supervision. Young children should ride with an adult and must be secured and supervised appropriately throughout loading, the ride, and unloading. Lift attendants can determine whether a passenger can be transported safely under the conditions at the time.

One distinction is the hosted Sunshine Meadows walk: that particular activity has a minimum age of 6, but that restriction applies to the guided walk rather than indicating a general six-year minimum for the Standish Chairlift itself.
