Are dogs allowed on the gondola?

Banff National Park offers four major Gondola sightseeing lift experiences, each providing a unique way to experience the Canadian Rockies.

Are dogs allowed on the gondola?

No. Dogs and other pets are not permitted on the Lake Louise Summer Sightseeing Gondola for safety reasons. This means you cannot take a pet dog with you in the enclosed gondola or up the sightseeing lift.

The exception is for certified service animals. If you're travelling with a service animal, you should let the ticket-counter staff know when you arrive so they can assist with the appropriate arrangements. Emotional-support animals are not permitted on the gondola.

Dogs are, however, welcome on the resort grounds. They can remain with you in permitted outdoor areas at the base, including outside while you enjoy the Banded Peak Deck.
